Deskrona - Private, open-source time tracking that works offline-first
Deskrona is the open-source, local-first time tracker built with Rust + Tauri + Vue 3. Every byte of your data stays on your machine by default. Zero telemetry. Zero accounts. Zero subscriptions. No cloud lock-in.
What it tracks in real time:
- Active windows & app usage with per-session duration
- Browser URL history (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, etc.)
- Keyboard & mouse activity for accurate active/idle time
- Configurable screenshots with multi-monitor support
All presented in a live dashboard with charts, productivity breakdown, and color-coded calendar view showing your monthly activity heatmap.
Comes with Pomodoro timer (auto-switching focus/break phases), floating draggable overlay with click-through mode, and system tray integration with live timer.
Enterprise-ready: multi-user mode with admin dashboard, role-based access, per-user drill-down into screenshots, time logs, activity, and URLs. All running locally on one machine. No infrastructure needed.
